COVID-19 sure put a damper on all of our plans for 2020, hasn’t it?
We at Cayman Pace have always been committed to providing you a clean room and a relaxing holiday. We reaffirm our commitment to cleanliness, and, post COVID-19, have added regular sanitising measures designed to keep all of us healthy and safe. Whilst we believe our new process and products are sufficient, if you prefer to have a third party sanitise your room prior to check in, we can facilitate it at your cost. Currently there are two providers:
In general, our cleaning/sanitisation process is designed to make your room safer for you and for us. When you check out, we shall enter your room wearing gloves and mask to remove all food items (including unused items such as coffee, creamer, sugar, etc.), recyclables and garbage. And then we shall air out your room for at least 3 hours before re-entering to start the cleaning and subsequent sanitation process. Unfortunately, these additional steps will render same-day check outs/ins a thing of the past. To complete the full cycle, we shall have to adjust our check in and check out times accordingly, aiming to be as flexible as we can to accommodate your needs.
We recently attended VRBO’s webinar on Preventing the Spread of Infection (POSI) Principles for Vacation Rentals, which prompted some other big changes:

- Pestkil, which we use for quarterly pest treatment, at a current cost of KYD100;
- Davenport Development, whose focus, until recently has been building condominiums, at a cost of KYD150.

- We shall be making our Welcome Manual electronic. Don’t worry, if you forget to bring it with you on your tablet or
- Your room signage will provide you with the basics, such as Wi-Fi Name and Password but the rest will be electronic;
- Your room will have a personal use supply of hand sanitiser;
- In your room, we shall replace the books and games with a list for you to request to borrow;
- Beach mats, beach chairs and coolers will be available on request.
